Our Policies

We value our customers and want your stay to be as relaxing as possible. Please read through the policies for our Cabins.

Reservations
A credit card number is required to confirm a reservation. The card will be charged for the first night's stay upon making the reservation. The remaining balance of your stay will be charged the morning of check in. 
Cancellations
If your travel plans change and you must cancel, please call or email us 14 days prior to your arrival to cancel, less a $25 processing fee. In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than 14 days notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation.  

Minimum Stay
Weekends typically require a minimum two-night stay. All major holiday weekends require a three-night minimum stay. Please call us if you are interested in a one-night weekend stay. We can frequently accommodate those requests.

Taxes
A 7% North Carolina sales tax and a 3% Ashe County occupancy tax is added to the room rate.

Check-In / Check-Out
We set guests up for a "self check -in" any time after 4 pm. We will leave a key and a map to your cabin on the counter in the Lodge building for you.  We can accommodate early check-ins if pre-arranged for a fee. Check-out is by 11 am.

Quiet Hours
Please be respectful of other guests and keep 10 pm–8 am as "Quiet Hours."

Open Flames
Due to the historic nature of our wooden cabins, we do not allow open flames in or near our cabins. Please do not bring candles or any other sort of open flame. You are welcome to bring a grill (we do have tripod grills for over the wood fire pits) but we ask that you place them away from the cabins.

Smoking
For the comfort of ALL guests, no smoking is permitted inside any of our buildings. Smoking is permitted in outside areas. We ask that you be respectful of other guests and smoke away from all doors and windows. Smoking indoors will incur a $250 cleaning fee. 

WiFi & TV
WiFi is available in all of our cabins. The Tree House has some signal, but it can be weaker. Cable television is available in Bird's Nest, Fern, Squirrel, Acorn, Pine and Owl cabins. 

Our area can be challenging for some cell phone providers. We do find that Verizon typically works in our area. Other carriers can be very sporadic.

Pets
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in some of our Crumpler NC cabins. All dogs on the property must be on a leash at all times.

Our dog rules are pretty simple and outlined below. In the unlikely event that your dog damages any part of the cabin, you are responsible for the damages. We allow dogs in Duck, Brookside, Acorn, Bird's Nest, Fern, and Squirrel as well as TreeTop and TreeHouse. All of our other cabins are not dog friendly. 

• Our dog fee is $20 per night, per dog. 
• We do ask that you keep the dog(s) off of the furniture and bedding. We reserve the right to add an additional cleaning fee for dog hair left on furniture and/or bedding. 
• Please do not leave your dog loose and/or unattended in the cabin while you are out for the day. 
• Poop scooping is required.
• If your dog is not well behaved or disturbs other guests by barking, we do have the right to ask the owners to kennel their dogs or leave. No refunds will be offered.
